Ruby to become an international standard

There is some discussions about the Ruby language becoming an ISO standard.  That will help to standardize the different Ruby implementations (like Ruby, JRuby, IronRuby, etc.) 

I think it is an important milestone for Ruby: it demonstrates the maturity of the language.  Ruby's standardization will also foster a broader adoption in the corporate world.

Do you want to learn the Ruby programming language but don't want to buy a book and read it cover to cover?  Are you more inclined to take a traditionnal programming course (ie: with a teacher, homeworks, etc.) instead?
